Course Description:
Designed for employed paralegals or other legal workers or students interested in becoming paralegals. Students will learn skills necessary to increase billable hours and productivity. The course covers legal analytical research and writing, using legal terminology, professional legal writing of interoffice memos, civil pleadings, and discovery motions. Other topics covered will be Evidence Preservation, Interviewing and Investigation, Introduction to Torts, Contracts, and Criminal Law, Rules of Civil and Appellate Procedure, and Rules of Ethics for Paralegals.
