MFC Scholarship Opportunities
THE MILLARD FILLMORE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
PURPOSE: The Millard Fillmore College Scholarship is awarded to undergraduates who are enrolled in Millard Fillmore College courses during the 2015-16 academic year and are pursuing an MFC certificate. The Millard Fillmore College Scholarship is intended to recognize students who exemplify the University's ideals of excellence in the pursuit of learning and focused career aspirations.
WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP WILL COVER: This scholarship provides financial assistance to help cover cost of tuition and fees and will be applied to the student's UB account. No other fees or costs will be covered (i.e. late fees, textbooks,etc.).
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: Awards are $1500 per student. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by availability of funds annually.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled at the University at Buffalo as a full-time or part-time matriculated undergraduate.
- Enrolled in at least one MFC course during fall or spring semesters.
- University at Buffalo cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
- U.S citizen and New York State resident.
CRITERIA: Students will be selected based on financial need and personal narrative of 500 words or less describing educational and career goals. Each application will be independently reviewed by members of the MFC scholarship committee. Scholarship award recipients will be notified by early May each year.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications for the MFC scholarship must be received no later than midnight of the posted deadline without exception. Awards are made without regard to race, creed, color, or religion.
