All UB students can access Information Technology (IT) services. Your UB IT name(computer account/username) is needed to access these services, including Internet browsing, E-mail, and workstations in UB's computing labs. To determine your UB IT name, take your UB Card to a swipe station at any public computing site. Besides displaying your UB IT name, the screen message describes how to figure out your initial secret password. If you lose or forget your password, you must bring photo ID to the CIT Accounts Office, 215 Computing Center, North Campus, during business hours Monday through Friday or call (716) 645-3540 to make arrangements to fax your ID.

IT workstations are available to students in 206-207 Diefendorf Hall on the South Campus. On the North Campus, IT workstations are in the Capen Cybraries on the first floor (Undergraduate Library) and on the third floor (Science and Engineering Library), and in the Lockwood Cybrary on the second and third floors. Public SUN workstations, which include IT applications, are available in 101 Bell Hall and 408 Fronczak Hall.

Workshops on various aspects of computing at UB are offered by Computing and Information Technology (http://www.cit.buffalo.edu/) and by the Libraries Help Center. The CIT workshop schedule is available online at http://wings.buffalo.edu/itworkshops/.

Counseling Center Services for Evening Students
To provide students in Millard Fillmore College with greater access to counseling services, the Counseling Center offers therapy groups and other counseling at a variety of late-after-noon hours throughout the semester. In addition, there are workshops offered on Wednesdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. as part of a special one-hour Food for Thought series. Throughout the semester, look for flyers advertising these workshops. Popular favorites that are presented most semesters include time management, text anxiety, procrastination, stress management, and assertiveness.

In addition to the services described above, the Counseling Center also provides extended evening office hours for MFC students on a limited basis. Appointments must be scheduled in advance. To make an appointment with a counselor, MFC students should phone the Counseling Center office at (716) 645-2720 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
