Millard Fillmore College credentialing programs join the standards of the university with the educational requirements of the marketplace. Our programs are designed by both industry leaders and academic faculty in order to provide learning opportunities that meet high academic standards and help professionals advance their careers. Although our programs are not substitutes for degrees, they are highly valued by employers. Because they are structured for adult learners who in most cases are working toward their degree or may already have degrees, and because they are taught by expert practitioners, they are widely recognized for producing professionals of exceptional quality.
In many instances, MFC programs offer specialized training and education that is not locally available at either the graduate or undergraduate level. And MFC programs allow students to continue working full time while they pursue their studies. People earn certificates of completion to make a career change, seek a promotion, explore new fields, document formal application-based education, and stay current with new technologies. These programs also may fulfill license or certification requirements of professional associations, industry groups, state agencies, or specific corporations. Costs, guidelines, and requirements vary by program.
Upon successful completion of program requirements, students are awarded a certificate of completion from the University at Buffalo, Millard Fillmore College. A minimum grade of "C" must be achieved in each course to complete program requirements. Courses are offered for university academic credit or Continuing Education Units (CEU's) depending upon the specific program of study and student preference.
